Hey! Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast.

Basically, you start out with massive amount of data.
How are we gonna analyze as well.
Let's fire up a pivot table and see you can solve this problem.

Hey! Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast.
I'm Bill Jelen.
Here we go launching into our second thousand podcast.
What the heck, let's sign up for another thousand let's do it again.
New thousand podcast, new office finally moved into a new office.
You're looking at the new MrExcel studio.
Glad that I'm no longer working out of my house which means that, I'm no longer living at work.
I get to come to work and I get to go back home at the end of the day and not worry about MrExcel the company.
So, that's cool!
Hey!
Last Wednesday talked about my brother-in-law, Shannon.
Who had managed to screw up a spreadsheet by inadvertently using split panes and I wondered what the heck is this good for?
So, you know the first email came in from Bill.
Bill said you know, "Split panes is great.
If you need to see four sections of the spreadsheet at the same time." Yes, you could do that with view, new window, new window, new window and then try and arrange everything.
But using split is a good way to go and then both Gary and Jamie wrote in and said "Hey! There's a faster way to do this and is this is probably how your brother-in-law inadvertently did it." This little icon right over here see that, that is the split icon.
Just grab it and bam!
Whoops! Missed and you can add a split in and then there's also another icon down here, on the bottom right.
Grab that and very quickly you can come up with your split and then of course, it's possible to scroll over and see the various sections as bill mentioned.
Alright! So, that's cool!
Mohnish checked in said you know hey, "It's a great way, to go if you need to see both the bottom and top of the spreadsheet at the same time." Especially, we have links between the bottom the top you can kind of get a view and I get that and then you know, hats off to Michael.
Michael actually replied with a video of his own.
He posted a reply video at YouTube and say you know one of the best things about split versus freeze panes, is it's much easier to adjust.
So, normally if you would have frozen panes and then you decide that you need to redo where you have to unfreeze panes and then redo but with split.
It's just to grab it and move to a new section.
So, there you have it few people you know, said yeah I'm with you, we hardly ever use it but other people are accompanied use it all the time.
So, just a few ideas, there are things you can do a split.
Touch that one soon.
Thanks to my brother-in-law Shannon for the original question as proof that wrote in.
Thanks for stopping by, we'll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel.
