Hey, welcome back to the MrExcel netcast.
I'm Bill Jelen.
Basically, we start out with massive amount of data.
How we are going to analyze as well plus file up a pivot table.
Let's see if we can solve this problem.
Hey, welcome back to the MrExcel netcast.
I'm Bill Jelen.
Now, we're going to go back a couple of weeks to episode 990 dueling Excel podcast, where we added horizontal totals.
Nothing has generated that much email.
In the last few months, several people another bill J, Mike T from Canada, Michael M, Chris in the UK who claimed he could solve it in less than 15 seconds.
Matthew N And Russell from HP.
All sent in the exact same solution for doing horizontal SUBTOTALS and it is faster.
So, we start here.
And our data the day is already sorted by Month.
We're going to select the whole range.
That's CTRL+A .
CTRL+C to copy.
Go down a few cells and [ Alt + E + S + V ] to edit Paste Special>Transpose.
and then ALT+DB For SUBTOTALS.
At each change in month, add the Subtotal sales.
Click OK.
and then CTRL+C to copy.
Back up here [ Alt + E + S + V ] Edit Paste Special>transpose.
And it does it brings everything along including the formatting for the January total.
Might need to do a Format call them auto fit.
That's all.
OCA to make those extra rows up here and then down here, we can delete the temporary table.
And we've added the SUBTOTALS in much much faster way to go.
Thanks to everyone who sent in that idea.
We send you all Excel Master Pins for that great idea.
Thanks for stopping by.
W'll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel.
