Using Calculations Other Than Sum

Problem: It is relatively easy to change the calculation in regular pivot tables. It is impossible to change the calculation in OLAP pivot tables. There is a way to change the calculation in a PowerPivot pivot table, although it is hard to find:

Strategy: Go to the Sum of Revenue field in the Values drop zone of the PowerPivot Field List. Click the drop-down arrow to open the flyout menu.

The third item from the bottom of the flyout menu is Summarize By. Open this flyout menu to choose between Sum, Count, Min, Max, and Average.
