In depth, Chapter 1- End Key Navigation.
On Chapter 14, I was taking a look at using the End Key, to very quickly jump to the end of a data set.
And the way that this works is you press the end key once.
And you see right down here at the bottom of the screen.
It says that we are in End mode and then I press one arrow key.
So, End and then Down will take me down, to the last row in that contiguous block with Data.
End and right We'll take me to the right.
Now once you're at the end of a contiguous block.
End and an arrow Key will jump the gap.
So, if I press end right from here it will jump columns D and E and take me over to column F.
Now I think that the End shortcut key goes back to the days of lotus.
In excel, some people instead use CTRL and the arrow keys.
So, CTRL+Down will take you to the end of the data.
CTRL+Down will let you jump the gap.
CTRL+right will move you to the right edge and so on.
So, you have it fast ways especially if you have 10,000 100,000 or a million rows of data.
You need to get down to the last row use End and Down arrow.
Hey, thanks for stopping by.
We'll see you next time for another netcast by MrExcel.
