Counting a particular day in a list of dates

=SUMPRODUCT(--(WEEKDAY(A2:A28,1)=6))

You are missing a function of the weekday formula.

The formula is correct. What is the problem that you have with it?

Using or not using the weekday funtion for serial numbers gives me #value!

Aladin, He is missing part of the Weekday formula the Return_Type in this case it would be a 1 "WEEKDAY(A1:A29,1)"

I didn't know that thanks for the info.....perhaps the dates are not formated as dates but a different value like text?

In B2 enter copy down:

=ISNUMBER(A2)

What results do you get?

select all of Column A
then select text to columns
then finish
